How To Use Spoken Ink

1. The first step is to Sign Up. (If you have done so already, go to step 3 below.) To sign up, click on the Sign Up link in the top right hand corner of the page, and supply the details asked for.
2. You will then be sent a message to the email address you gave us as part of step 1. Confirm your email address by clicking the activation link in the message.
3. Then, when you're ready, return to the site and log in (using the Login link in the top right corner) with the username and password you chose and supplied when you signed up.
4. Browse for stories using the library main category links near the top left corner of the page as a starting point. Within the Library, you can browse the various sub-categories, search for entries by a particular author or featuring a specific actor, list the audios in various orders such as popularity or how recently they have been added to our site... and much more fun stuff!
5. Typically for the audios in the Library, you'll be able to listen to a sample of an item you like the look of.
6. When you find an audio work you think you'd like to purchase, it can be added to your shopping basket from the Library. You can add multiple audios to your basket, and remove them too if you change your mind. Then, when you're ready, you can click on the basket link in the top right corner, and checkout from there to pay for your selections.
7. Payment for audios can be made by using our secure payment mechanism by providing your card details for each basket of selections. Alternatively, to make things more convenient, you can add credit to your account, then purchase audios without having to enter your payment details each time. Furthermore, if you use the account credit facility, we'll add an extra bonus amount over the amount you pay as a thank you from us!
8. When audios have been purchased, they will be added to your download list (click the Downloads link in the top right corner) so that you can download them to your computer.
9. Your audios will download as a 'zipped' file. Unzip this file on your local computer, and make sure it is SAVED somewhere visible to your media player (usually iTunes or Windows Media).
10. Enjoy your story whenever you like, as often as you like. You can also now transfer the story to any mobile device (iPod, mp3 player, mobile phone, etc.) in exactly the same way as you would transfer a music album or track.
11. Now save money (if you haven't already done so) by adding credit to your account and receiving that special extra bonus amount to spend!
12. It's also possible to buy audios (via the Library) or even Spoken Ink gift vouchers (via your account area) for your friends!
